[March 23, 2010]  GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) -- Cincinnati rookie Aroldis Chapman left early because of a stiff lower back Monday in the Colorado Rockies' 9-1 win over the Reds.

Chapman, a 22-year-old Cuban defector, has had a sensational spring, overpowering hitters with a fastball that hit 100 mph. He was scheduled to pitch four innings after starter Bronson Arroyo came out of the game.

Chapman made it only 1 2-3 innings, giving up two hits and two walks. He said his back has been stiff the last few days and couldn't get loose in the seventh inning, so he left as a precaution.

The Rockies scored four unearned runs off Chapman.

Brad Eldred homered twice for Colorado, going 3 for 4 with three RBIs.
