William 'Bill' Hurley

[March 24, 2010]  LINCOLN -- William Allen "Bill" Hurley, 75, of Lincoln, died Monday, March 22, 2010, at the Hopedale Medical Complex, Hopedale.

The family will have a private graveside service. There will be no public visitation or funeral.

Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling arrangements.

Mr. Hurley was the owner of Bill Hurley Construction.

He served his country in the U.S. Army.

Bill was born April 4, 1934, in Lincoln. His parents were Carl J. and Anna Werkman Hurley. He married Wilma Cox on Dec. 24, 1959, in Lincoln.

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; one daughter, Leah Renee Hurley of Tulsa, Okla.; one son, William A. Hurley Jr. of Chenoa; three grandchildren, Justine Walters, Spencer Allen Hurley and Miley Rae Hurley; three brothers, Richard "Dick" Hurley of Lincoln, Ed Hurley of Lincoln and Virgil Hurley of California; and two sisters, Thelma Fulk and Linda Woodard, both of Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harold Hurley, Carl Hurley Jr. and Claude Hurley.

He attended Lincoln Christian Church.

He enjoyed his work in concrete finishing and enjoyed fishing.

Funeral Directors

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
