[March 24, 2010]  ST. LOUIS -- The Red Lions of Lincoln Christian University split a doubleheader with St. Louis Christian College on Tuesday, winning the first game 8-4 and dropping the second 0-6, bringing their season record to 3-9.

In the first game Larry Weese, the winning pitcher, received a lot of support as the Red Lions recorded 14 hits. Joshua Bennett led the team, going 4 for 4 with two doubles and two runs batted in. Weese helped his own cause with two hits, and Clay Foster and Seth Martin each contributed two hits.

In the second game St. Louis turned in a six-run first inning, which was the only scoring in the game. LCU managed only five hits, with Nicholas Walter getting two of them.

The Red Lions will host MacMurray College in a doubleheader beginning at noon Thursday.
