Russell Kastorff

[March 24, 2010]  LINCOLN -- Russell Lee Kastorff, of Reeds Spring, Mo., departed this life Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Ozark Mountain Regional Healthcare, Crane, Mo., at the age of 70.

A celebration of life will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home.

Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home-South, Kimberling City, Mo.

Mr. Russell lived in Atlanta for 15 years before moving to the Table Rock Lake area of Missouri in 1989. While living in Logan County, he managed Russ’s 66 / Burwell’s at the corner of Keokuk and Logan in Lincoln.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was born Sept. 23, 1939, in Watertown, Wis. His parents were Earl and Viola Miller Kastorff

He is survived by his wife, Mildred "Millie," in Missouri; two sons, Mark (and wife Kim) of Bloomington and Steven (and wife Beth) of Geneseo; one daughter, Sandi (and husband John) Rakestraw of Shell Knob; eight grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald.

The family is grateful to God for the gift of a great husband, father, grandfather and friend.
