Lions sweep doubleheader

SCRANTON, Pa. -- The Red Lions
of Lincoln Christian University swept Baptist Bible College in a
doubleheader Saturday afternoon. Winning the first game 6-3 in seven
innings and the second game 7-6 in eight innings, LCU improved their
season record to 5-9.

 In the first game, winning pitcher Andrew Scates got a 10-hit
offensive effort from his teammates, with Nick Walters, Chris
Headrick and Scates each recording two hits. Richard Weese and
Scates each had doubles.In the second game Headrick was the
winning pitcher and batted in the winning run when Josh Bennett
doubled in the top of the eighth inning after there were two outs.
