Lynx drop rubber match against Jaguars

[March 31, 2010]  DANVILLE -- The Lincoln College Lynx traveled to Danville on Tuesday to take on the Danville Area Community College Jaguars for a nine-inning game that was washed out Sunday afternoon. Casey Benham (0-3) started for the Lynx, pitching 1 2-3 innings, and picked up the loss.

Tyler Wallin, 2-4 with a home run, and Nate Blessman, 2-3 with a double, were the only offensive support for the Lynx. Blessman raised his batting average to .479 and collected his eighth double of the season.

The 12-5 loss to the Jaguars dropped the Lynx to 6-10 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

The Lynx will travel to Jacksonville to take on Illinois College in a nine-inning contest today (Wednesday).
