ATLANTA -- Roy L. Hill, 70, of Atlanta,
died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 11:15 p.m. at Advocate BroMenn
Medical Center in Normal.
His funeral will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home, with Maurice Stribling officiating. Visitation
will be from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. |

Mr. Hill retired from Jacques Seed Co. in Mount
Pulaski as a truck driver. He was born Feb. 5,
1940, in Pittsfield. His parents were Paul E. and
Florence M. Wheeler Hill. He married Sandra K.
Jackson in 1972, and she preceded him in death in
1983.
He is survived by his children, Kurtis (and Dana)
Hill Ledford, Chris Hill Ledford, William (and
Katie) Hill and Royann Willis; three sisters, Ruby
(and Monk) Newingham, Pauline (and Jack) Kelly and
Karen Cook; three brothers, Fred Hill, Pat Hill and
Murl (and Darlene) Hill; eight grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and
special friends Lora, George, Glenn, Delores, Joe
and Eddie.
He was an avid Cardinals fan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
family.
