Loren Dale Schroeder, 76, a Lincoln native, died Wednesday, May 5,
2010, at his home in Katy, Texas. He had lived in that area since
1979. |

His funeral was at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Schmidt
Funeral Home in Katy, with the Rev. Jerry Thomas
officiating. He was born Dec. 28, 1933, in
Lincoln. His parents were Walter John Frank
Schroeder and Nelva Julia Dierker Schroeder. He
married Barbara Ann Mullen in Alice, Texas, on Aug.
3, 1968.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years; his
children, John F. (and wife Jennifer) Schroeder,
Barbara Jeanne Schroeder, Nancy (and husband Shawn)
Ketcherside and Sarah (and husband Shenan) Stanley;
one grandchild, Sydney Ketcherside; one brother,
Wilferd Schroeder; one sister, Dorothy Giordano;
cousins Laverda Taylor of Lincoln, JoAnne Marlin of
Lincoln, Lowell Schroeder of Morton, Marvin
Schroeder of Springfield and Norman Schroeder of
Plymouth, Wis.; as well as other relatives and
friends.
One sister, Marilyn Hickman, died in December
2008.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He graduated from Mount Pulaski High School.
