Karl Krotz

[May 11, 2010]  LINCOLN -- Karl Leo Krotz, 71, of Lincoln, died Monday, May 10, 2010, at 12:04 a.m. at his home.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln. A rosary service at 3:45 will precede the visitation.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey G. Laible officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 263.

Mr. Krotz operated Krotz and Sons Lawn and Garden Center.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was born Dec. 16, 1938, in Lincoln. His parents were Anton Edward and Anna Christina Lorman Krotz.

He is survived by one sister, Barbara (and Howard) Kirk of Lincoln; one brother, Robert (and Etta) Krotz of Spaulding; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Holy Family Church, American Legion Post 263, Pekin Bottle Club and Crosley Association.

He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1956.

Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or Carroll Catholic School.
