David Banton of Colonial Heights, Va., is spending this week in Lincoln as a part of his four-year mission to visit all 50 states of the union.  Banton said that he will visit four communities in each state, staying one week at each place.
His desire is to meet fellow Christians and fellowship with them about the love of Christ. Banton is also keeping a log of his travels via his blog, HisCall888.com.

Finding Banton is really quite simple; just keep an eye peeled for his yellow pickup with a cross in the bed. The cross itself is beautifully decorated with a depiction of Christ. The truck also is adorned with words of faith and Scripture.

The Scully Park fountain is beautiful, but the dead fish found in it Wednesday evening was not.
On his way home from church, Samuel Squaire asked his mom if they could walk past the fountain. What they found is now the family's biggest fish tale. Someone for some unknown reason left a large carp in the water on the north side of the fountain.
The fish appeared to be about 2.5 feet long and was not moving when they first discovered it, other than the gentle sway caused by a flow of water generated by the fountain.
The police were called. Deputy Jason Kuhlman was the first to arrive and confirmed the fish was dead. Deputy Josh Pharis was also there and he is experienced at handling big fish. He also identified it as a carp. A young neighbor who had been in the park walking her puppy displayed her good citizenship by quickly bringing a trash bag in which the officers transported their catch.
