Kids, soda, pizza and music were all at the Lincoln Park District yesterday.

The D.A.R.E program hosted some 250 youngsters from Logan County to enjoy an afternoon of good, clean fun and friendship. Lincoln Police Chief Ken Greenslate wanted to thank Guzzardo's, Stuffed-Aria and Little Caesar's for helping defray the cost of a whopping 144 pizzas. T.O.U.C.H. supplied all the beverages for the party and the Lincoln IGA helped with cups, plates, napkins and utensils.

Although it is now Chief Ken Greenslate, the chief says he will continue as the D.A.R.E officer due to the importance of the program in helping youngsters understand and to stay away from drugs.
