Grain futures, livestock prices slide

[May 15, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agricultural futures retreated Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery dropped 7.5 cents to $4.715 a bushel; July corn fell 10 cents to $3.63 a bushel; July soybeans tumbled 11 cents to $9.535 a bushel; and July oats dropped 2.25 cents to $1.9575 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork prices dropped on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle fell 2.32 cents to 93.25 cents a pound; August feeder cattle dropped 2.10 cent to $1.1297 a pound; June lean hogs shed 1.05 cents to 83.55 cents a pound; and May pork bellies lost 1.75 cents to $1.0325 a pound.
