Dennis 'Denny' Goodman

[November 03, 2010]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Dennis E. "Denny" Goodman, 62, of Bement, formerly of Mount Pulaski, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at 1:15 a.m. at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

There will be a service at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Mark Smith and the Rev. Rachel Stockle officiating.

There is no visitation.

Mr. Goodman was an industrial electrician for All Tri-R.

He was born Dec. 28, 1947, in Lincoln. His parents were Carl and Olive Pope Goodman. He married Sandra Hindall on April 12, 1985, at Cave-In-Rock.

He is survived by his wife, of Bement; one son, Dennis R. Goodman of Chestnut; two daughters, Melissa (and Rick) Beals of Pekin and Stacy (and David) Burke of DeLand; four brothers, Carl Goodman Jr. of Higginsville, Mo., Gerald Goodman of Mount Pulaski, Donald Goodman of Ironton, Mo., and Robert Goodman of Pekin; six sisters, Alice (and Herman) Geriets of Lincoln, Esther (and Bob) Gill of Lincoln, Linda Goodman of Lincoln, Susan (and Otto) Roberts of Lincoln, Violet Beck of Atlanta and Marjorie (and Tom) Polk of Mount Pulaski; and grandchildren Amber, Katerina, Balin, Caleb, Dylan, Marcel, Maddison and Lauren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six nephews.

Funeral Director

He was a member of the Bement United Methodist Church and the American Pool Players Association.
