Dennis Aughenbaugh

[September 27, 2010]  CHESTNUT -- Dennis Ray Aughenbaugh, 56, of Chestnut, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at 2:30 a.m. at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

His graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Laenna Cemetery, Chestnut, with Pastor Joe Bowman officiating.

There is no visitation.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski is handling arrangements.

Mr. Aughenbaugh worked at Mount Pulaski Products.

He was born Nov. 5, 1953, in Decatur. His parents were Everett and Joan Watkins Aughenbaugh. He married Kathryn Jean Schroth on June 14, 1975, in Mount Pulaski.

He is survived by his wife, of Chestnut; his father, of Decatur; three daughters, Melissa Aughenbaugh of Kansas City, Kan., Michelle Aughenbaugh (and Jason Moore) of Clinton and Miranda Aughenbaugh (and Nikki Knipmeyer) of Quincy; grandchildren Kendall Richardson of Kansas City, Kan., Taylor, Peyton and Bryce Moore of Clinton, and Jasmine Aughenbaugh of Quincy; one brother, Danny (and Debbie) Aughenbaugh of Decatur; and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother; one granddaughter, Jule; and one nephew, Josh.

Funeral Director

He was a very loving and caring person and touched the lives of many people. He will be missed by all.
