Louise Ahrens

[April 04, 2011]  HARTSBURG -- Louise T. Ahrens, 98, formerly of Hartsburg, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at 1:08 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg, with the Rev. Barbara Stroud-Borth officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Mrs. Ahens was a homemaker.

She was born on July 14, 1912, at Hartsburg. Her parents were Jacob and Mary Fauth Seitzer. She married John D. Ahrens on Oct. 23, 1937, in Hartsburg. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 2007.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy (and Ron) Robbins of Lincoln; one son, Donald Ahrens of Hartsburg; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. She was the last of her immediate family.

Funeral Director

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg and the Ladies Aid of the church. She enjoyed quilting.

Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church of Hartsburg or St. Clara's Manor.
