[April 10, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Laverda Lucille Pelc, 85, of Lincoln, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 12:02 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln.

A Memorial Mass for Mrs. Pelc will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey G. Laible officiating. Visitation will be from 9 until 10 a.m. at the church.

Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Pelc and her husband owned the Radio Lab & TV repair shop in Lincoln for over 40 years.

She was born on March 19, 1926, in Lincoln. Her parents were August and Lillie Sanders Bree. She married Edward Joseph Pelc on March 19, 1947. He preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2008, in Lincoln.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (and Terry) Stokes of Decatur, and one brother, Herb (and Doris) Bree of Lincoln.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Bree Sr. and Wayne Bree.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Oasis senior center and Elks Lodge 914.

Laverda loved to play cards and watch Western movies.

She graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 1945.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
