Lutheran fifth-graders participated in the trash barrel
decorating competition in conjunction with the recent Logan
County Health Fair.
The barrels were provided by the health fair. The fifth-graders decorated their barrel based on the
health fair
theme of “Planting Seeds of Wellness.” Their teacher is Mrs.
Diane Hunsley.
Zion's fifth-graders were awarded first place. The class was
presented with the prize of a tree to plant at Zion Lutheran
School.

Demjanjuk arrives in his wheelchair at the court
building in Munich, southern Germany, on Wednesday. Ukrainian-born Demjanjuk, 90, is
accused of 28,060 counts of accessory to murder for
allegedly serving as a guard in the Nazis' Sobibor
death camp. Demjanjuk's defense attorney says his
client's trial on Nazi war crimes charges should be
suspended in the wake of an Associated Press report
showing the FBI believed the Soviet Union fabricated
evidence in the case.

Winter has been tough on more than just us. The
world's largest covered wagon also got beat up this winter. The
support jacks that help hold the huge wagon up and in balance
have been twisted and bent from winter winds. Plans are being
made to lift the wagon and replace the damaged support posts.

Vereshchagin, which is to be sold at Sotheby's on Wednesday as
part of the auction house's Russian art sale, where it is expected
to fetch $300,000 to $500,000. The 19th-century painting of St.
Petersburg that Mikhail Baryshnikov purchased decades ago will be
auctioned to help benefit new works at his Baryshnikov Arts Center
in New York City.
Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose goes in for a dunk during
the second half of the Bulls' NBA basketball game against the New
York Knicks on Tuesday in New York. Rose scored 26
points as the Bulls won 103-90.
