[April 22, 2011]  LINCOLN -- James Simons, 63, of Lincoln, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 25, at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Riverton with military honors.

Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Mr. Simons served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was born July 23, 1947, in Lincoln. His parents were Raymond E. Simons and Mary G. Kerr. 

He is survived by three brothers, Jerry Ray Simons of Lincoln, Larry W. Simons (and Patricia) of Morris and John W. Simons (and Linda) of Lincoln; one sister, Brenda Simons of Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Judy.
