Dear Editor: The American Legion family of Post 263 Lincoln would like to thank all who contributed to the Honor Flight dinner and activities on Sunday, April 17, at the post home. Thanks to the Lincoln Daily News.com for the excellent publicity, history of the Honor Flight and photos online. Thanks to those who furnished items for the bake sale, items for the raffle, 50-50, the workers, kitchen help and donations given throughout the day. We are so proud to send to the Honor Flight moneys for six World War II veterans to visit their World War II Memorial at Washington, D.C. We are a Legion family and community bonding together, and it shows with events such as this.
