Margaret Langenbahn

[August 22, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Margaret E. Langenbahn, 78, of Lincoln, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at 6:35 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She donated her body to medical science. A celebration of life service will be scheduled later.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Mrs. Langenbahn retired from the Logan County supervisor of assessments office in Lincoln.

She was born Aug. 3, 1933, in Lincoln. Her parents were Joseph and Dorothy Watters Tumilty. She was married Virgil K. Langenbahn Jr. on May 28, 1977, at the Christian Church in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2001.

She is survived by one son, Steven Baker of Lincoln; three daughters, Pamela Baker of Lincoln, Julie Baker (and Scott) McKinney of Mount Pulaski and Lori (and Bill) Schaub of Hartsburg; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marsha Logan of Bloomington; a sister-in-law, Linda Tumilty of Bryan, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Tumilty.

Funeral Director

She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
