MOUNT PULASKI -- Alice Marie Lee Cross,
79, of Mount Pulaski died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at 7:50 a.m. at
her residence.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Her
funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with Norman McCormick
officiating. |
Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount
Pulaski.
Mrs. Cross was a registered nurse. She was the
former director of nursing at Vonderlieth Living
Center in Mount Pulaski and school nurse at Mount
Pulaski Grade School.
She was born on Aug. 25, 1932, to Walter and
Linda Mooney Warren in Milmine. She married Robert
S. Lee on June 7, 1953, in Mount Pulaski. He
preceded her in death on June 24, 1985. She married
Dr. Leland Cross on June 25, 2005, in Lincoln. He
survives.
She is also survived by four daughters, Theresa
(and Norman) McCormick of Decatur, Debby (and Larry)
Evans of Flanagan, Carolyn (and Dave) Frank of
Arenzville and Laura Lee of Mount Pulaski; six
stepchildren, Laurel Cross of Washington State,
Maribeth (and Ted) Bergstrom of Walla Walla, Wash.,
Lavonne (and Andrew) Cross of Beaverton, Ore.,
Andrew (and Barb) Cross of Portland, Ore., Janine
(and Colin) Saxton of Newberg, Ore., and Teresa
Cross of Williamsburg, Va.; one brother, John (and
Marilyn) Warren of Duluth, Minn.; three sisters,
Anna (and Paul) Quandt of Cocoa, Fla., Betty (and
Keith) Marlow of Albuquerque, N.M., and Pansy Drake
of Colliersville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; nine
stepgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers
and one sister. |
She was a volunteer for the Mount Pulaski Historical
Museum, Mount Pulaski Grade School and the American
Red Cross. She was also affiliated with the Mount
Pulaski Christian Church and Mount Pulaski St.
John's Lutheran Church.
She graduated from Decatur Memorial Hospital
School of Nursing.
Memorials may be made to Vonderlieth Living
Center or the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Research
Foundation.
