Russell 'Gene' Fuiten

MOUNT PULASKI -- Russell "Gene" Fuiten,
82, of Mount Pulaski, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at 8:27 a.m. at
St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. A
Masonic service will be at 2 p.m., followed by a memorial
service. Duane Turley will officiate. |
Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery at a later
date.
Mr. Fuiten was a postal worker at Mount Pulaski
for 33 years.
He was born March 27, 1928, in Mount Pulaski. His
parents were Russell and Clara C. Slaughter Fuiten.
He is survived by two brothers, Donald R. (and
Virginia L.) Fuiten of Lincoln and Howard (and Manda)
Fuiten of Lincoln; and one sister, Helen Louise
Eckhout of Birkley, Mich.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters,
Nancy Dabbs and Lucille Delloms.
He was of the Christian faith, a member of Mount
Pulaski Masonic Lodge 87 AF & AM and past master of
the lodge, and a member of Mount Pulaski Commandry
and Springfield Ansar Shrine. |
Memorials may be made to the Independent Order of
Odd Fellows.
