[February 14, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Helen Van Etten, 76, of Lincoln, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at 6:15 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Burial will be in Memory Hill Gardens, Memphis, Tenn. Dustin Fulton will officiate.

Mrs. Van Etten was a homemaker.

She was born March 9, 1934, in Lincoln. Her parents were George and Leckey Halsey Brown. She married Earl George Van Etten. He preceded her in death Sept. 28, 1995.

She is survived by one son, Paul (and Barbara) Van Etten of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one daughter, Debra (and Steve) Mitzel of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Dennis (and Kay) Brown of Lincoln; a cousin, Margaret Newhouse of Lincoln; one grandchild, Amy (and Josh) Butler of New Castle, Pa.; and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Thomas Butler and Haley Renee Butler, both of New Castle, Pa.

She loved spending time with her family.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
