[January 10, 2011]  Police and accident reports for Monday, Jan. 10:

Accidents

Jan. 1, 8 a.m.

Accident occurred in the 2800 block of Woodlawn Road.

  • Inman, Kevin L., 52, of Lincoln; 1993 White GMC semitrailer truck

Inman reported to police that he parked at 3 p.m. Dec. 31 in a lot in the 2800 block of Woodlawn. When he returned to the vehicle and took it for servicing, he noted damage. The police officer recorded on his report: "The damage was repaired prior to my arrival."

Jan. 6, 6:18 p.m.

Accident occurred in the 2200 block of North Kickapoo, in the parking lot of the Maple Ridge apartments.

  • Moisant, Kenneth E., 67, of Lincoln; 2005 Buick Rainier owned by Patricia Osland

  • Theobald, Rodney L., 55, of Lincoln; 1999 Chevrolet two-door pickup

The vehicle owned by Theobald was parked in a space at Maple Ridge apartments. Moisant said his vehicle hit a curb, bounced off it and struck the Theobald vehicle, pushing it into a tree.

Jan. 7, 8:47 p.m.

Accident occurred on Short 10th between North Monroe and North Adams.

  • Reed, Phillicia J., 33, Lincoln; 1996 Ford Explorer

  • Neuhaus, Jeremiah R., 37, Lincoln; 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

  • Raymond, Reece D., 36, Lincoln; 2007 Dodge Dakota

Reed said that in order to start her vehicle, she has to raise the hood and use a screwdriver. Her car was parked in front of her residence on North Monroe. She had started the vehicle and closed the hood when the car slipped into gear on its own, while she was still outside the vehicle. Her car proceeded to roll backward, around the corner onto Short 10th, off into a lawn on the south side of the street, then veered back toward the street, where it hit the vehicle owned by Neuhaus. The car then continued to roll across the street and into a lot where it came to a full stop after striking the vehicle owned by Raymond.

Reed was ticketed for having an uninsured vehicle.

Jan. 8, 12:09 p.m.

Accident occurred at the intersection of North Kickapoo and Tremont streets.

  • Shea, Donald D., 84, Lincoln; 2002 Dodge Caravan

  • Brooks, Geralyn A., 53, Lincoln; 2011 Mercury Sable

Brooks was northbound on Kickapoo, passing Tremont and having the right of way. Shea was westbound on Tremont with a stop sign. The police report indicated that Shea left the stop sign too early, thus striking the rear of the Brooks vehicle as it passed by.

Shea was ticked for failure to yield at an intersection and for having no valid driver's license.

Lincoln Police Department

  • Ingram, Travis D., 33, of Lincoln, arrested Jan. 8 on charges of disorderly conduct and harassment by electronic communications.

  • Langley, Boone J., 20, of Lincoln, arrested Jan. 7 in the 300 block of West Kickapoo on three Logan County warrants.

  • Palfy, Fredrick, 34, of Lincoln, arrested Jan. 8 at his residence on charges of domestic battery, aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

Logan County Sheriff's Department

  • Bliss, Dave H., 46, of Tower Hill, arrested Jan. 7 on Illinois Route 121 on charges of driving under the influence of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

  • Horn, Michael D., 28, of Atlanta, arrested Jan. 8 on East South Street at Old Route 66 in Atlanta on two Logan County warrants.

  • Vinson, Brendon M., of Peoria, arrested Jan. 9 on Illinois Route 121 on charge of driving with a license revoked.

  • Yates, Jeremy S., 32, of Latham, arrested Jan. 8 at his residence on charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated battery.

San Jose, Mount Pulaski

No reports.

Illinois State Police

  • Faust, Clarke F., 19, of Edwardsville, arrested Jan. 9 on Interstate 55 on charges of possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
