Barbara A. Laymon, 74, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at
her home. |

Private services will be at Holland Barry & Bennett
Funeral Home in Lincoln. She was born Dec. 14,
1936, in Kenney. Her parents were Sydney Louis
Gardner and Florence Amanda (Potts). She married W.I.
"Blackie" Laymon on Nov. 12, 1966, in Lincoln. He
preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2005.
She is survived by her daughters, Theresa DeLong
and husband Thomas of Canton, Penni Eichhorn and
James Potts of Lincoln, and Dana Puckett and husband
Dave of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Tad DeLong,
Brian Eichhorn Jr., Haileigh DeLong and Jordan Foss;
and great-grandchildren Hailey DeLong and Trevor
DeLong.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, two
brothers and three sisters.
She was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church in
Decatur.
She loved her family and friends and was deeply
devoted to her two dogs. Coco and Petro are very sad
at her passing. |
