MOUNT PULASKI -- Burnice Prather, 92,
of Mount Pulaski, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at 6:10 p.m. at St.
Clara's Manor in Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln,
with Gary Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be
one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in
Mount Pulaski Cemetery. |
Mrs. Prather was a homemaker.
She was born Jan. 8, 1919, in Eureka. Her parents
were Edward and Katie Alexander Burnell Buck. She
married William C. Prather on Nov. 13, 1939, in La
Plata, Mo. He preceded her in death in 2000.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonny (and Jim)
Weinheimer of Yorkville and Kathy (and Gary) Schmidt
of Hackensack, N.J.; two sons, Bruce Prather of
Mesa, Ariz., and Kit Prather of Oakland, Calif.; one
brother, Walter Buck of Columbus, Ind.; seven
grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers
and one sister. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of
Mount Pulaski and Rebekkah Lodge of Mount Pulaski. |
Memorials may be made to St. Clara's Manor in
Lincoln.
