MOUNT PULASKI -- Harry Elias Hild, 88,
of Mount Pulaski, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at 1:55 p.m. at
Vonderlieth Living Center.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski. |

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at
St. John's Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski, with
the Rev. David L. Hofer officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.
Mr. Hild was a retired farmer and cabinetmaker
He was born Feb. 20, 1922, in Latham. His parents
were Carl Gottlieb and Ruby Kusterer Hild. He
married Claudia L. Leslie on June 27, 1948, in
Decatur. She preceded him in death on Aug. 27, 2004.
He is survived by two sons, Leslie "Foxie" (and
Joy) Hild of Mount Pulaski and Harry Wayne (and
Jean) Hild of Mount Pulaski; five grandchildren,
Davey, Kevin, Lacey, J.C. and Carl; and 14
great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in
Mount Pulaski. |
 He loved gardening and woodworking.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran
Church.
