CHESTNUT -- A graveside service for
Elizabeth Ann Simkins, 72, of Lakewood, Colo., formerly of Chestnut,
will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, at Laenna Cemetery, Chestnut,
with the Rev. Mark Peters officiating. |

Mrs. Simkins died June 16, 2011, at 6 a.m. in
Colorado.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski is handling arrangements.
She was born on April 25, 1939, in Chicago. Her
parents were Elmer Matthew and Florence Agnes
Richner Roos. She married E. Leland Simkins on Sept.
3, 1960, in Chestnut, and he preceded her in death
on Aug. 29, 2004.
She is survived by two sons, Matthew A. (and
Audrey) Simkins of Denver, Colo., and H. Leland (and
Jan) Simkins of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Alan
(and Margie) Roos of Chestnut; and two
grandchildren, Natalie Simkins of Denver, Colo., and
Alec Simkins of Denver, Colo.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter,
Cathy. |
Memorials may be given to the National Jewish
Hospital.
