Patricia Funk

[July 02, 2011]  WILLIAMSVILLE -- Patricia Funk, 77, of Williamsville, formerly of Jacksonville and Lincoln, died Saturday, July 2, 2011, at 6:44 a.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Ron Otto officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.

Mrs. Funk worked for the state of Illinois, in the Department of Mental Health.

She was born on Dec. 4, 1933, in Lincoln. Her parents were Paul "Bulldog" and Virginia Delzel Rickord. She married Larry Funk on June 22, 1952, in Lincoln.

She is survived by her husband, in Williamsville; two sons, Mike (and Sandra) Funk of Williamsville and Daniel (and Sherri) Funk of Flat Rock; one brother, Frank (and Linda) Rickord of Lincoln; and five grandchildren, Evan, Ashton, Matt, Megan and Dustin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Norma Fleshman.

She attended Lincoln Christian Church, was a member of Eastern Star in Peotone and a member of the Morgan County Republican Committee.

Funeral Director

Mrs. Funk was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed staying in touch with family and friends through Hallmark cards and letters.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
