This
doesn't look good. The fountain at Scully Park hasn't been
turned on this year, and the brackish water is filled with
discards from Mother Nature and uncaring residents. Neighbors
around the park are fearful that the pond will become a breeding
ground for mosquitoes.
This
May 23 photo released by NASA shows the International Space
Station and the docked space shuttle Endeavour, left, flying at an
altitude of approximately 220 miles, in an image taken by Expedition
27 crew member Paolo Nespoli from the Soyuz TMA-20 following its
undocking. It is the first-ever image of a space shuttle docked to
the International Space Station.

Mildred
Kaesebier will celebrate her 95th birthday on June 16. She resides
at 1550 Fifth St. in Lincoln.
Mildred
graduated from Lincoln College in 1936 and taught at Walnut Row
School, a one-room schoolhouse near Atlanta. Mildred and
Wilbert, her husband of 58 years, farmed west of Lincoln before
retiring. She has been a dedicated mother and farm wife.
Mildred is the
mother of Mary Ellen (and Richard) Martin of rural Lincoln and Dean (and Carol) Kaesebier of Fairhope, Ala.
She has four
grandchildren: Dana (and Clark) Oltmanns, Larry (and Julia) Martin, Tara
(and Jeff) Zuerlein and Joy (Danny) Gould. She also has 10 great-grandchildren.
Mildred would
enjoy hearing from friends and relatives wishing her the best on
her birthday.
