The opening night of public hearings that could allow the construction of 116 wind turbines west of Lincoln drew a large crowd to West Lincoln-Broadwell School on Monday evening. The hearings continue in the same location tonight at 7:30.

Boston Bruins right wing Nathan Horton lies on the ice after being checked to the ice by Vancouver Canucks' Aaron Rome during the first period in Game 3 of the NHL hockey Stanley Cup finals in Boston on Monday. Rome was called for a five-minute interference major and a game misconduct. The late hit motivated the Bruins, who went on the win 8-1.
