Loretta Buchholz

[June 06, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Loretta Pearl Buchholz, 91, of Lincoln, died Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 4:25 p.m. at Lexington Nursing Home in Schaumburg.

The funeral for Mrs. Buchholz will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from noon until 1:30 Tuesday at the church.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

She was born on May 18, 1920, in Lincoln. Her parents were William and Pansy McCray Lee. She married William R. Buchholz on June 27, 1945, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 1982.

She is survived by one son, William J. (and Donna) Buchholz of Algonquin, Calif.; two daughters, Judith Stewart of Belleville and Karen (and Dominick) Giannotta of Schaumburg; one brother, Walter (and Joanne) Lee of Lincoln; one sister, Marilyn (and Gerald) Lolling of Hartsburg; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and two grandsons.

Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
