Ronald Whitlock

[June 10, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Ronald Lloyd Whitlock, 79, of Lincoln, died Thursday, June 9, 2011, at home, with his loving wife and family around him.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in New Union Cemetery.

He retired from Lincoln Developmental Center in January 1992 after 30 years of service as a psychiatrist.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was born April 14, 1932, in Pontiac, Mich. He married Sylvia Irene Joiner on Feb. 14, 1987. 

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; one son, Stephen Whitlock of Morgantown, W.Va.; one daughter, Marlene Roberta Whitlock of Tucson, Ariz.; two stepsons, John Farmer of Grayville and Richard B. Collard Jr. of Hartsburg; one stepdaughter, Patricia Daugherty of Lincoln; five stepgrandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Directors

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Memorial Home Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
