Marcella Brim

[June 15, 2011]  EMDEN -- Marcella A. Brim, 84, of Emden, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at 12:55 a.m. at Mason City Area Nursing Home, Mason City.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln and 9-10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Emden.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Emden church, with the Rev. Dr. John Schurter officiating.

Burial will be at Hartsburg Union Cemetery, Hartsburg.

Mrs. Brim had worked in the clothing department at Lincoln Developmental Center, Lincoln.

She was born on June 12, 1927, in Hartsburg. Her parents were Conrad and Marie Rademaker. She married James Brim in 1953 at Emden. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1983.

She is survived by one son, Randy (and Debra) Brim of Green Valley; two daughters,

Teresa Kastner of Peoria and Alice Brim of Emden; one brother, Lowell (and Mary Ruth) Rademaker of Emden; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Maxine Walden.

Funeral Director

She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Emden, chaired the SHARE food program at church, and was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary of Emden.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or Emden Fire and Rescue.
