Rosalie Knollenberg

[June 24, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Rosalie Knollenberg, 78, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at her home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Knollenberg will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln. Ron Otto will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery, Mason City.

Rosalie started working as a hairdresser while still in high school and enjoyed her chosen profession for the rest of her life.

She was born on Nov. 28, 1932, in Mason County. Her parents were Dwight and Garnet Totten Turner.

She is survived by her son, Bart Youngblood of Sarasota, Fla.; her sister, Wyvonne (and Pat) Thompson of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Estel Turner.

Rosalie was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.

She enjoyed ballroom dancing and was a wonderful artist. She made many items by crocheting and knitting.

Memorials may be made to Lincoln Christian Church or to Rosalie's family.
