[March 16, 2011]  BLOOMINGTON -- James W. Heck, 88, of Bloomington, died Monday, March 14, 2011, at 10 p.m. at Bloomington Rehab and Health Care Center .

Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.

His graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Funks Grove Cemetery, rural McLean.

Mr. Heck retired from Struck Trucking in McLean.

He was born Feb. 10, 1923, in Funks Grove Township. His parents were Hubert and Lydia Carpenter Heck. He married Audrey Peasley on July 7, 1960, in Springfield.

He is survived by his wife; his children, Lois (and James) Watson of Kappa, Beverly (and Robert) Lauritson of LeRoy, Lynn (and Marilyn) Heck of Danvers and Deanna Sue Wilson of Bloomington; three sisters, Marie Hammons of Bloomington, Barbara Hindman of Normal and Rosie (and Gene) Liscom of Morton; one brother, Donald (and Jean) Heck of McLean; a sister-in-law, Ruby Heck of McLean; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Duane Heck and James Heck; one sister, Gladys Williams; and one brother, William Clifford Heck.

Memorials may be made to the McLean County Humane Society.
