Letters to the Editor

Lincoln Daily News welcomes letters of appreciation, information and opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a community we need to be able to talk openly about matters that affect the quality of our lives. The most effective and least offensive manner to get your point across is to stick to the issue and refrain from commenting on another person's opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

Buy your favorite veteran a granite brick

Send a link to a friend

To the editor:

If you know of a veteran, male or female, who has served our country honorably and is not presently represented in our current brick display located in All Veterans Park on the corner of Union and Pekin Street in Lincoln and you would like to purchase a personal, individual, inscribed granite brick for only $35 installed on their behalf and add it to our display, you can do so by picking up a form from a dispenser located near our large brick display in the park or by calling Les Van Bibber at 217-732-3438.

We presently have over 2,300 individual veterans bricks on display in the park, along with a very user-friendly directory to help you quickly locate any individual veterans brick.

May 30 is Memorial Day. Please don't forget to fly your flag during both of these dates and come visit All Veterans Park and check out our newly installed veterans bricks on a regular basis.

Les Van Bibber
