LINCOLN -- Thelma Pederson, 81, of
Lincoln, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at 11 p.m. at her home.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at
Park Meadows Baptist Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Tony Bazen
officiating. |
Burial will be in Diamond Grove Cemetery,
Jacksonville, with a 1:30 p.m. graveside service.
Ms. Pederson worked as a clerk for Economy Fire and
Casualty Co. in Lincoln.
She was born Sept. 1, 1930, in Hannibal, Mo., to
Robert F. and Edna Ayers Roach.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Scheurer
(and David Robbins) of Lincoln and Carol (and Steve)
Newman of Lake Forest; two sisters, Clara Detmers
and Shirley Cox of Lincoln; one brother, Donald
Roach of Normal; and six grandchildren, Bryson
Scheurer, Jazmyn Robbins, Jacquelyn Scheurer, Blaine
Robbins, Brian Newman and Eric Newman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one
daughter, Sandra Kaye Mills; two brothers, Frank
Roach and Jim Roach; and one sister, Mary Scanlan. |
She was a member of Park Meadows Baptist Church in
Lincoln, a foster grandparent in the school program
and was a volunteer in the long-term ombudsman
program.
Memorials may be made to the activity fund at
Adams School, for library books.
