Janice Stoltzenburg

[November 07, 2011]  DECATUR -- Janice C. Stoltzenburg, 73, of Decatur, formerly of Logan County, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at 10:10 a.m. at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Christopher Decker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Ms. Stoltzenburg worked for Lehn & Fink in Lincoln for 35 years. She was also a volunteer voting judge.

She was born on April 30, 1938, in Logan County to Phillip and Stella Holmes Maxheimer.

She is survived by one son, Bill Stoltzenburg of Springfield; two daughters, Brenda Merriman of Decatur and Patti (and Jeff) Baker of Decatur; one brother, Elwood (and Faye) Maxheimer of Jacob; very special friends Mike and Linda Krause of Decatur; five grandchildren, Jesse (and Tara) Merriman, Christina Robbins, Brandon Stoltzenburg, Whitley Baker and Drake Baker; and one great-grandson, Karson Robbins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dean Maxheimer; and an infant brother.

Funeral Director

She loved her cats Monica, Babie and Zero. She loved to make and sell jewelry and was an avid fan of the Cardinals. Her last joy was listening to them win the World Series.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
