Jacquelyn 'Jackie' Ware

[November 16, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Jacquelyn "Jackie" Ware, 66, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at 8:28 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Roger James officiating.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Ware retired from Lehn & Fink after 23 years in shipping as a forklift operator.

She was born July 20, 1945, in Pekin to Everett and Maxine Bell Boyer. She married Donald Ware on Dec. 30, 1983, in Emden.

She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln; her children, Connie White of Lincoln, Kim (and Carl) Taylor of Bloomington, Gary (and Glenda) Skelton of Lincoln, Terry (and Frankie) Skelton of Lincoln, Vicki (and Dan) Bree of Lincoln and Kevin Skelton (and partner Donna Jones) of Middletown; two stepsons, Mark Allen (and Linda) Ware of San Diego, currently serving in the U.S. Navy, and Michael James (and Helena) Ware of Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Judy (and Rick) McCoy of Lincoln; one brother, Jerry Wayne Boyer of Peoria; 18 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Waynetta; and three grandchildren.

Funeral Director

She was a member of Middletown United Methodist Church and the Middletown American Legion Auxiliary.

Memorials may be given to the National Kidney Foundation or the donor's choice.
