Carroll Catholic School cheerleaders performed a special cheer for Principal David Welch during the school assembly on Thursday.

Students and staff gave Mr. Welch a Steelers helmet and a Steelers jersey with his favorite player's name, Polamalu, across the back.

On the obstacle course, Mr. Welch had to kick footballs into goal nets. He made them all.

After the obstacle course was completed, Mr. Welch was presented with an autographed picture of Polamalu and a Steelers license place panel.

Third- and fourth-grade students also wrote things they liked about their principal.

Second-grade students presented Mr. Welch with more good things they like about him.

Carroll Catholic School Principal David Welch thanked the students for the nice items and for making his day a special event.
