A
Lincoln Fire Department ladder truck took kindergartner Ella
Singleton to her classroom at Carroll Catholic School on
Thursday as the prize for winning the department’s poster
contest in the kindergarten category. Ella’s parents, Scott and
Jennifer Singleton, drove their own vehicle behind the fire
truck after Ella informed them she wanted to ride alone. The
firemen said she talked all the way to school. She was greeted
by classmates, staff members and her grandmother, Cindy
Stapleton.

Breastfeeding Myth: It is
normal for breastfeeding to hurt. Not true! Though some
tenderness during the first few days is relatively
common, this should be a temporary situation which lasts
only a few days and should never be so bad that the
mother dreads nursing.
For more information,
contact the breastfeeding peer counselor at the Logan
County Department of Public Health, 217-735-2317, ext.
