The United Way of Logan County
celebrated 50 years in existence with a ribbon-cut and
community gathering yesterday. This year's United Way goal is $98,000,
and the campaign will kick off with a tailgating party on Oct. 15. For

Newborn Indochinese tigers (Panthera tigris corbetti), also
known as Corbett's tigers, look out of a box Friday during their first presentation for
the public at the Tierpark zoo in Berlin. The quadruplets were
born Sept. 10.
