Constance 'Connie' Hodgdon

[October 15, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Constance E. "Connie" Hodgdon, 59, of Lincoln, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at 12:43 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, following a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Simon Taabu officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Mrs. Hodgdon was a retired clerk from the Illinois Department of Revenue in Springfield.

She was born on March 29, 1952, in Brooklyn, N.Y. Her parents were Charles and Rose Marisak Wiel. She was united in marriage to Gerald "Jerry" Hodgdon on Aug. 20, 1982, in Portage, Wis.

She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln, and one sister, Diane Wiel of Belleville.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a graduate of Carroll Catholic School, Lincoln Community High School and Illinois State University.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Humane Society of Logan County.
