LINCOLN -- Shirley Riddle, 70, of
Lincoln, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at 11:05 p.m. at Memorial
Medical Center, Springfield.
Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at New
Union Cemetery. Following the service, there will be a luncheon at
the Lincoln Church of the Nazarene. |

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home of Lincoln. Mrs. Riddle retired from Lincoln
Developmental Center after 35 years of employment.
She was born on Nov. 24, 1940, in Lincoln. Her
parents were Ben and Thelma Schmid Awe. She married
Harlan Riddle on May 5, 1967, and he preceded her in
death.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia (and
Brad) Clucas of Mechanicsburg; one son, Tom (and
Nancy) Haferkamp of Lincoln; four grandchildren,
Stephanie (and Greg) Wheeler of Warrensburg,
Nicholas Haferkamp of Lincoln, Jacob Hubbard of
Decatur and Victoria Haferkamp of Lincoln; four
great-grandchildren, John, TJ, Brenden and Andrew;
and one brother, Ted (and Judy) Awe of Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one
son, Michael; one brother, Harry Awe; and one
great-grandson, John. |
She attended the Church of the Nazarene and was a
member of Eagles Lodge 2708.
Shirley loved making crafts and decorating.
Memorials may be given to the Church of the
Nazarene.
