Every year, the period dress comes out at the Lincoln Park District as the Civil War Ball starts the Abraham Lincoln National Railsplitting Festival. This year, there is no forecast for rains, and cool temperatures should make for a great weekend to visit the Logan County Fairgrounds and enjoy the sights and the competitions that make up this event, now in its 41st year.
