Klockenga (center in brown shirt) shares some farm stories with
other farmers. The lunch at Klockenga's farm was hosted by Farm
Credit Services as part of their annual Meals in the Field
program. This year, Farm Credit is stressing safety on the farm
as they brought out lunches to five different farmers and their

The U.S. Navy's newest
destroyer, the USS Spruance, heads to dock behind the historic Custom House
Museum in Key West, Fla., on Friday. The 509.5-foot-long Arleigh
Burke-class ship is to be commissioned in Key West on Oct. 1.
Although Key West is steeped in Navy traditions, with operations beginning as
far back as 1822, it is the first time a naval vessel commissioning has been
planned for the island city.

This
1946 image taken by photographer Joseph Jasgur and released by
Julien's Auctions shows Norma Jean Dougherty, who eventually
changed her name to Marilyn Monroe. A bankruptcy judge in
Florida ruled earlier this week that photos taken of Monroe will be
sold at auction to settle the debts of the photographer. Jasgur's
photos, negatives and image copyrights will be sold in December by
Julien's Auctions.
