Beverly Gaddy

[September 27, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Beverly Jane Gaddy, 74, of Lincoln, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, at 6:21 p.m. at her home.

A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at LifePoint Church of God, 601 Pulaski St., with the Rev. Jacob Skelton and Josh Merreighn officiating.

Arrangements are with Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home of Lincoln.

Mrs. Gaddy retired from the Illinois Department of Revenue after 35 years of state employment.

She was born on Dec. 13, 1936, to Frederick and Florence Flemming Ealy. She married Jerry A. Gaddy on Nov. 24, 1967, in Lincoln.

She is survived by her husband; four sons, Robert Merreighn (and Janice Stewart) of Lincoln, Scott Gaddy Sr. of Williamsville, Todd Gaddy of Lincoln and Shawn Gaddy (and Angie Cooper) of Hartsburg; three sisters, Pat (and Jerry) Castro of Pensacola, Fla., Linda (and Tony) Decker of Roanoke and Delores Windish of Galesburg; two brothers, Ron (and Sharon) Ealy of Atlanta and Bob (and Mable) Westlake of Peoria; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Billy Merreighn; two daughters, Cherrie and Tami Huskins; and one sister, Shirley Heady.

Funeral Director

Beverly was a member of Lincoln Church of God.

She collected Precious Moments figurines and salt and pepper shakers.

The family appreciates all the love and care that Dawn Gaddy showed to Beverly.
