INVITATION TO BID

 

THE LOGAN COUNTY BUILDING AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE IS SEEKING BIDS FOR MOWING PROJECTS.  SEALED BIDS WILL BE RECEIVED AT THE LOGAN COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE, ROOM 20, LOGAN COUNTY COURTHOUSE, LINCOLN, ILLINOIS, AND NO LATER THAN 4:00 PM ON TUESDAY, APRIL 3, 2012.  ALL SEALED BIDS WILL BE OPENED FOR REVIEW AT 7:00 PM ON TUESDAY, APRIL 3, 2012, AT THE BLDG. & GROUNDS COMMITTEE MEETING AT THE LOGAN COUNTY SAFETY COMPLEX, 911 PEKIN STREET, LINCOLN, IL.

 

THE MOWING PROJECTS TO BE BID ARE FOR THE TIME PERIOD FROM APRIL 15, 2012 THROUGH NOVEMBER, 2012.   BIDS SHALL BE SUBMITTED AS ONE PROPOSED MONTHLY FEE FOR THE MOWING, TRIMMING, REMOVAL OF GRASS (SWEEPING OR BLOWING) FROM WALKWAYS AT:  SCULLY & LATHAM PARKS; THE COURTHOUSE GROUNDS; THE DR. JOHN LOGAN BLDG. GROUNDS AND THE ANIMAL CONTROL GROUNDS.   (ANIMAL CONTROL BID SHOULD BE LISTED SEPARATELY FOR BUDGET PURPOSES).

 

THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER WILL BE REQUIRED TO ENTER INTO A WRITTEN CONTRACT WITH LOGAN COUNTY WHICH SHALL INCLUDE VARIOUS PROVISIONS INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:

 

1)     The mowing and trimming shall be done in a timely, workman-like fashion so as to keep the properties looking well groomed, including the removal of grass (sweeping or blowing) from walkways.

2)     All property shall be cleared of leaves on the LAST mowing.

3)     It is the responsibility of the bidder to obtain liability insurance covering himself, his workers and personal property damage and provide proof of same to Logan County Clerk.

 

THE LOGAN COUNTY BOARD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS AND WAIVE IRREGULARITIES THEREIN, AND ALL BIDDERS MUST AGREE THAT SUCH REJECTION SHALL BE WITHOUT LIABILITY ON THE PART OF LOGAN COUNTY FOR ANY PENALTY BROUGHT BY THE BIDDER BECAUSE OF SUCH REJECTIONS, NOR SHALL THE BIDDERS SEEK ANY RECOURSE OF ANY KIND AGAINST THE COUNTY BECAUSE OF SUCH REJECTIONS, AND THE FILING OF ANY BID IN RESPONSE TO THIS INVITATION SHALL CONSTITUTE AN AGREEMENT OF THE BIDDER TO THESE CONDITIONS.

RE: State of Illinois Paratransit Vehicle Grant for, Logan and Mason County

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by:

I. For the purpose of considering a project for which financial assistance is being sought from the Illinois Department of Transportation, pursuant to the Illinois Department of Transportation's general authority to make such Grants, and which is generally described as follows:

 

 

A. Description of Project


Replacement/Expansion of vehicle to provide transportation services in Logan and Mason County.

This project will be included in a Consolidated Vehicle Procurement Program undertaken by the State of Illinois on behalf of (Name of Applicant), with State and Federal Funds.

 

B. Relocation Relocation Assistance will not be required.

C. Environment This project is being implemented to minimize environmental impact

D. Comprehensive Planning This project is in conformance with comprehensive transportation planning in the area.

E. Elderly and Disabled All new equipment included in this project will meet ADA accessibility rules for the elderly and persons with disabilities.

II. At the hearing the Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social, economic and environmental aspects of the project. Interested persons may submit orally or in writing, evidence and recommendations with respect to said project.

III. A copy of the application for a state grant for the proposed project for the intended service area will be made available for public inspection at Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois.
