[August 07, 2012]  McLEAN -- Sugar Grove Nature Center in Funks Grove will present a children's program called "Little Wonders: Lovely Leaves" on Aug. 15. Those attending can choose from two sessions: 10-11:30 a.m. or 1-2:30 p.m.

"Little Wonders" is designed to introduce 3-to-5-year-olds to the world around them. A naturalist reads a nature story while incorporating hands-on discovery.

This session's topic covers leaves. They come in all different shapes, colors and sizes. Children attending can examine them up close, observe them high on the trees, listen to a story, make a leafy craft and have a snack.

Registration and an adult chaperone are required. The fee is $5 per child for nature center members and $8 per child for nonmembers.

For more information or to register, phone 309-874-2174 or email register@sugargrovenaturecenter.org.
